Good Samaritan University Hospital employees have rights related to unionization, including the right to:
- Learn the facts about unionization, including facts the union may not want you to know.
- Talk about the union or refuse to talk about the union with co-workers or union organizers, during non-work time and in non-patient care areas.
- Speak or decline to speak with anyone from the union – including employees who support unionization – between shifts or during your break.
- Join or refuse to join a group text or Facebook group or any discussions on social media with anyone from the union – including fellow employees who support unionization.
- Attend or decline invitations to union meetings.
- Engage or decline to engage with anyone from the union – including fellow employees who support unionization – on the phone or in person (either at work or at home).
- Accept or reject union swag (badge-pulls, flyers, stickers or buttons).
- Talk with your manager, co-workers and others about the union.
- Protect your privacy – you are not required to sign a union authorization card or give the union your personal information just to learn more about 1199SEIU.
